Payless ShoeSource Shopping Card allows business owners
to offer slip-resistant footwear to employees without
the hassle of a paper-run voucher program. It's simple!
Employees are issued cards with a pre-set spending limit
for specific merchandise. The cards can be used at any
Payless ShoeSource® nationwide. The business owner
is then billed for the amount spent -- no more, no less
-- and, best of all, there's absolutely no charge until
the card is used.
Owners are assured that their employees'
shoes meet or exceed established standards for slip
resistance and employees get the convenience of shopping
at their nearest Payless® retail store without the
hassle of paperwork or payroll deduction account numbers.
In fact, for business owners that are
currently using Payroll Deduction to help their employees
purchase footwear, the Payless Shopping Card makes perfect
sense. With the Shopping Card, those expenses can be
controlled, monitored and not billed until the end of
the month in which the purchases are made.
Why the shopping card makes sense...
Simple management. You can control
purchases by including your spending limit and merchandise-specific
conditions on the card holder.
Payroll deduction. Employees still
get the benefit and immediacy of shopping at Payless
and you get the combined monthly billing that allows
you to utilize Payroll Deduction to recover your costs.
Minimum paperwork. Because the
gift card is pre-valued, your application and billings
are the only paper that will change hands.
Accurate billing. Cards are valued
for whatever amount you choose and can be used only
once. You will be billed monthly for ONLY THE AMOUNT
USED.
Nationwide acceptance. The Shopping
Card is accepted in any US Payless ShoeSource® store
with the exception of Payless locations within ShopKo®
stores.
Fast turnaround. Once the application
and order are complete, cards can be delivered in as
little as two business days.
Security. Cards are only valid
for purchase of Payless merchandise. They are not redeemable
for cash and unlike vouchers cannot be copied.

You will be contacted with your account
number and directions for placing orders. Follow
those directions to place your first order. Once
the order is complete, the cards will be shipped
within 2 business days. |

Once you receive the cards, simply
indicate on the card holders exactly what you wish
each card to be used to purchase. (Example: For
Safe T Step® footwear only.) Then issue the
cards to your employees (each card is number specific
so you can keep track to reconcile your records). |

When the user presents the card at
the time of purchase, our store associates will
verify that the instructions have been followed.
If the amount of purchase is greater than the value
you placed on the card the employee will simply
pay the difference. If the purchase is less than
the value you place on the card... all remaining
value is automatically removed. |

We will send a statement for only
the amount of the purchase. |

Here's an example:
You might place $35 on the card
(that along with the discount coupon will likely
cover the cost of any pair of Safe T Step®
shoes). If the transaction comes to $27, the remaining
$8 of value is removed instantly and the cards
balance is ZERO. We will send you a statement
for the redeemed amount. Its just that
simple!
